Induction Machine On-Line Parameter Identification for Resource-Constrained Microcontrollers Based on Steady-State Voltage Model

This paper presents a new, computationally modest on-line identification method for the simultaneous estimation of rotor resistance and magnetizing inductance an induction machine suitable electric drives that use indirect field-oriented control strategy (IFOC), their hardware is equipped with resource-constrained microcontroller. Such can be found both in manufacturing industry railway traction vehicles thousands, having either older cannot cope excessive methods or being cost-sensitive applications, thus low-cost IFOC very common such due to its good dynamic properties comparatively simple implementation. However, it sensitive inaccuracies inductance. These two parameters change during operation drive, influenced by temperature, frequency, saturation magnetic circuit. Improper values controller degrade performance IFOC, resulting slower acceleration unnecessary oversaturation machine.
